OUR MISSION
The mission of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is to produce and present memorable symphonic music that increases the awareness, enjoyment, and appreciation of music for audiences of all ages throughout the region.
With 49 years of artistic excellence, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is recognized as the largest and most distinguished performing arts organization in Maryland's capital city, currently under the artistic leadership of Music Director José-Luis Novo. Performing Classic, Pops, Family, and special gala concerts and events each year, the ASO continues to rise in excellence and national reputation. The ASO reaches thousands of new audience members each year with its free Summer Series concert, joint concerts with the United States Naval Academy, and collaborative projects with other arts organizations in ballet, opera, and choral music. In addition, the ASO sponsors numerous award-winning education concerts and outreach programs in community schools, sharing the joy of music making with thousands of school children.
